The Lost Gardens of Heligan comes alive at night this winter season with beautiful illuminated displays. Heligan Night Garden allows you to wonder through the woodland and gardens past lanterns and installations lit up to guide the way. Running until the 5th of January, you’ll need to book your slot, head to the website for more details.

Another Christmas Classic is a trip to Mousehole harbour, started by a local artist, Joan Gillchrest in 1963, the tradition is still running strong. The waters providing the perfect surface to magnify the pretty lit displays.

If you just can’t get enough of twinkly lights then wind your way through the Shipwreck Museum’s last Tunnel of Lights display. Head to Charlestown to experience an immersive adventure, through smuggling tunnels ladened with lights. Delicious hot chocolates and Scandinavian Glögg await.

Cotehele Flower Garland is something a little different. The National Trust Tudor property is decked with the most exquisite dried flowers, all from the estate. The fire lit and roaring in the great hall, a lovely walk around the grounds and on certain dates you are treated to choir singing too.
